    TRIACs

    A range of TRIACs (Triodes for Alternating Current - also known as Bidirectional Thyristors) for AC switching and control applications with current ratings from under 1A to 40A rms. A TRIAC makes a very convenient switch for alternating current circuit.

    These devices are perfect for allowing connection of AC devices to microcontrollers such as Arduino and PIC etc as the gate trigger is Logic Level and 5MA max trigger current, i simple optocoupler will give isolation between the AC line and the logic circuits, the TAB on this device is isolated from the power connections for easy mounting onto a heat sink
