Description:
Safeguard your electrical circuits with the general purpose 1492-SPM Type D Miniature Circuit Breakers by Allen Bradley. These circuit breakers offer high performance and ensure enhanced protection for equipment.
These MCB’s have instantaneous breaking time and feature type D tripping. They are available in 1, 2 and 3 pole versions to suit your application. The 1492-SPM miniature circuit breakers are current limiting and can be easily mounted on a DIN rail. These units are also IP20 finger-safe for greater protection, and they have dual terminals for wiring and bus bar flexibility. These dependable MCB’s help to prevent downtime from nuisance tripping as they also have superior shock and vibration resistance. The 1492-SPM series allows installation of up to six accessories on the same circuit breaker so that you can optimise your safety system with ease.
Type D MCB’s are usually used for specific industrial and commercial applications with very high inductive loads and where high inrush current frequently occurs, for example with x-ray machines, large winding motors, transformers, and welding equipment. A type D MCB will trip instantly at a rate of ten to twenty-five times its rated current.
Features & Benefits:
• Instantaneous break time
• Can be DIN rail mounted for fast and simple installation
• Available in 1, 2 or 3 pole versions to meet your requirements

Allen BradleyMiniature Circuit Breaker, 10kA Breaking Capacity, 20A Current Rating - 1492-SPM1D200
This miniature circuit breaker (MCB) from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range protects your electrical equipment from current surges by automatically cutting off its power. To return it to its original state, simply flip the toggle switch back down. A mechanical service life of 20,000 cycles means this is a durable choice for long-term use. Mounting is easy as the DIN rail lets you simply clip it on without specialised tools. This type D circuit breaker is typically found in industrial applications with a high risk of surges, like X-ray machines and power generation equipment.
• Resistance to shocks and vibration prevents false tripping
• Instantaneous break time for quick response to abnormal current
• Wide operating temperature range of -25°C to +55°C for safe use in industrial environments
Standards & Certifications:
• VDE (Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker)
• RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)
• UL (Underwriters' Laboratories)
• CCC (China Compulsory Certificate)
• CSA (Canadian Standards Association)
• CE (Conformitè Europëenne)
How does a thermal-magnetic MCB work?
A thermal-magnetic MCB like this one has an internal bimetallic strip that heats up in the event of a current overload. On heating, the strip bends and breaks the circuit.
